1.From Desktop, open INPA folder then open the second INPA folder. Right click on Step1InstallBMWTools and click Poperties. Goto Compatibilty and run the program in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Also, run as administrator. Click Apply then ok. Doulbe-click to launch. 2.Enusre destination path is C: BMW Tools, if it is not change it to. Windows OS (including 7 and 8) x86 or x64 bit systems. I have not tested with MAC as I am not a MAC user but if anybody can post feedback for MAC it will be greatly appreciated by many members Note: This is a base install of BMW Standard Tools 2.12.

Feature changing, VO editing), WinKFP (module flashing, updating), INPA (diagnostics, activations, error reading-clearing), and Tool 32 (activations, short circuit resetting of modules). Problem:
'I have install the 1.4.0 Scanner for BMW software and connect with vehicle via USB cable, when i open the pasoft software, it displayed an error message 'Hardware Faulty'. What's the problem? The interface is damaged?'
Solution from engineer:
- You forgot to install software driver.
- You should first install BMW scanner 1.4.0 software, connect with vehicle and laptop via USB cable.
- Then install software driver.
- After driver is well installed, ready to run software.
- Better use laptop running Windows XP home.
Do not open software directly after install software and connect with vehicle.
